The Unlimited Rewards Program

The Unlimited Rewards Program (the “Program”) is made available to certain licensed travel agents by Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC, 6 Sylvan Way, Parsippany, NJ 07054 USA (“ABCR”) and through ABCR’s third party provider’s manager Aimia Proprietary Loyalty U.S. Inc., 100 North Sixth Street, Suite 700B, Minneapolis, MN 55403 (“Aimia”). Aimia manages the Program and collects, uses, retains and discloses your personal information on ABCR’s behalf.

 

By enrolling in the Program, you freely and willingly consent to the transfer of your personal information to Aimia for the purposes of the Program. Your information is stored in the United States. References to“we,” “us” or “our” refer to ABCR and also to Aimia when it is acting with and on ABCR’s behalf.

 

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes our practices regarding the personal information that we collect from you or that you may provide to us in connection with the Program. We post revisions updates and amendments to this Notice on our website www.unlimited-rewards.com (the “Website”). It is your obligation to visit the Website periodically to review any changes that may be made to this Notice. Your use of the Program constitutes your agreement to be bound by any such changes to the Notice. We will take reasonable steps to provide notice of any material changes to our privacy practices.

Where do I find information about program restrictions?

The Program is available to licensed travel agents (“Travel Agents” or “you”) who have enrolled in the Program and comply with its Terms and Conditions.

 

What personal information do we collect?

You can visit our Website without telling us who you are or providing us with any information. However, unless you provide personal information, you will not be able to enroll in the Program. In addition, if you enroll in the Program but later decide to cancel your enrollment (see “What choices are available regarding personal information” below), you will not be able to continue to participate in the Program.

 

When you enroll in the Program, we collect identification information such as:

  • First name and last name
  • Full mailing address including city, zip code / postal code, and country
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • IATA, CLIA, TID, ARC, Assign or Travel Sellers numbers
  • Pseudo [If You are a Member from Mexico or Latin America]
  • Social Security Number or other government issued identification number, if required by law for tax or legal requirements
  • Name and contact information of your employer
  • User name and password
  • Secret questions and secret answers

We may also collect the referring Travel Agent’s:

  • First name and last name
  • Unlimited Rewards Member Number

When you earn Dollar Rewards through the Program, we collect information about the type of booking made, such as a description of the transaction and the product or service involved. We also collect information about your interaction with us if you contact us by telephone, email, through one of our social media platforms related to the Program (e.g. Unlimited Rewards Facebook page) or otherwise.

 

We may collect additional information as required to provide and manage the Program.

 

Do we collect information automatically when you visit the Website?

When you visit our Website, ABCR automatically collects technical information.

 

IP Addresses: We may collect your IP address when you visit our Website to help us diagnose problems, for system administration, to report aggregated information to our business partners, and to audit the use of our website. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. In select circumstances, we may use IP addresses to help us identify you when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Website Terms of Use or to protect our service, Website, users or others.

 

Cookies & other similar technologies: We use cookies, scripts, pixel tags, etags, web beacons and other similar technologies to help us recognize you and to remember your preferences. This helps us make the Website more convenient and efficient. We also use these technologies to track Website usage trends and patterns and to personalize features.

 

Analytics: We use analytics software, such as Google Analytics and others, to help us better understand the functionality of our software on our Website. This software may record information such as how often you use our Website, which features you use or don’t use on the Website, aggregated usage, and performance data. Social Media Advertising: We may use advertising platforms provided by Facebook, Google and others to promote interest-based advertisements to you (or to not show you certain advertisements if you are already a member) and to measure how users interact with those advertisements. We may do this using web tracking tools or by converting the email address, phone number or other contact information you have provided to us into a unique value that these platforms may compare to a unique value created from information you provided to those platforms. How do we collect personal information?

We collect personal information you provide to us when enrolling or participating in the Program. For example, we collect personal information that Travel Agents submit during the enrollment process or when managing their account details. We also collect personal information as Travel Agents use the Program including earning and redeeming Dollar Rewards. Personal information is also collected when an individual enters a promotion, contest or sweepstake offered in connection with the Program.

 

We also collect personal information when you contact us via email, telephone or social media (e.g. the Unlimited Rewards Facebook page) with questions, comments, feedback or submit testimonials for our Agent Reviews section. When you do so, we may contact you via direct message or use other social media tools to interact with you. In these instances, your interactions with us are governed by this Notice as well as the privacy policy of the social media platform you use.

 

We also collect personal information from other sources, such as Program Partners who issue, fund, or redeem Dollar Rewards. Examples of information we receive include account information, enrollment information, transactional information, reward issuance or redemption information, geographic information, and other purchase-related information. We treat the personal information and other information we receive from Program Partners in accordance with this Notice.

 

How do we use personal information?

We use personal information to:

  • Send you information about your relationship or transactions with us
  • Create a Travel Agent’s account and verify an individual’s identity
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and manage the Program, including processing the earning, accumulation and redemption of Dollar Rewards
  • Verify transactions and respond to inquiries
  • Communicate with Travel Agents and other individuals, such as addressing any issues, complaints and questions
  • Manage and coordinate the Program with Program Partners
  • Ensure the quality of the Program
  • Learn about Travel Agent’s interests, needs, usage and preferences in order to tailor and enhance the experience of the Program to the interests of Travel Agents, such as providing Dollar Rewards redemption opportunities that would be enjoyed
  • Send relevant communications such as offers, benefits, contests and other promotions
  • Analyze the accuracy, effectiveness, usability, or popularity of our services
  • Keep appropriate records
  • Monitor customer service experience and quality assurance and improve our services
  • Meet obligations as required by applicable laws, such as fraud detection, protecting the Program and Program Partners, or when required by court order or an authorized enforcement agency

We may use the information for other purposes as required from time to time in order to provide and manage the Program. We may combine information that does not directly identify an individual with information collected from other sources and disclose the aggregate information to third parties for the above stated purposes.

 

Why do we share personal information?

As a rewards program, the sharing of information between our Program Partners and us is essential to the calculation of your rewards and to delivering rewards to you. We share your personal information with our Program Partners in order to administer and manage your account and the Program, and to develop and provide you with offers, redemption opportunities, products and services.

 

We may also share personal information with third party service providers who assist us in providing and administering the Program. Third parties may assist us with services such as data hosting, data storage, and marketing. These third parties that process personal information on our behalf are contractually obligated to safeguard information and only use the information provided to them for the purposes outlined in this Notice. We may disclose your personal information and Rewards earning information to your employer and/or the entity affiliated with your travel agency identification number (IATA, CLIA, TID, ARC, etc.) you identify in your profile, and you expressly grant us the right to do so.

 

We may disclose your personal information in response to any subpoenas, court orders, other legal processes, to exercise our legal rights or to defend against legal claims. We may also disclose your personal information to third parties when we believe it appropriate in order to verify transactions or earnings, investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the terms of service for the services you accessed, and/or to protect our rights and property.

 

Personal information may be shared or assigned to third parties as a result of, or in connection with a sale, merger, change in control, consolidation, transfer of assets, reorganization, bankruptcy, or liquidation.

 

How do we keep personal information safe?

While transmissions over the Internet are never 100% secure or error-free, we take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorized use, access, disclosure, alteration, destruction or loss. We require that your personal information is safeguarded using means appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Personal information is stored in the United States, however because we operate globally, information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers. Even if you opt-out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages consistent with applicable law. We also may keep information we have collected about you for record-keeping, research and other purposes. Also, please note that if you participated in a promotion that involved a third party, and, as part of that promotion, you agreed to receive future marketing communications directly from that party, you will need to contact that party to opt-out of such communications. Do we collect personal information from children?

We recognize the particular importance of protecting privacy where children are involved. Children should not provide personal information on this Website as the Website is not intended for them. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from persons under the age of 13.

Travel Agents and other individuals may contact us as follows to access, verify and update information. We may take steps to verify your identity before granting access to a Travel Agent’s information or making corrections.
